Welcome to the Lakeview Choral flower sale website. It hardly seems possible that another school year is nearly over. We hope that you are considering joining us for the Spring Choir Concert/Spartanaires Pops Concert, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 16th, at 7pm in the Middle School Auditorium! It is sure to showcase our talented kids and allow you to see everything they have worked so hard to accomplish all year long. Part of the Lakeview Choral Program will be the Spartanaires’ Show Choir program and if you have yet to see them perform, you are in for a treat. They placed in several Midwest competitions through the winter months and are eager to show you their competition show. They are funded nearly 100% by parents, sponsors and their Invitational, which could not be held this past February, so the group is using the Pops concert and this flower sale as it's fundraiser.
Please browse the site. The menu above will allow you to view the current order form, download a copy of it, peruse the flower image gallery, or review some frequently asked questions. The flowers shown in the “gallery” are in most cases photos of this year’s offerings, with one or two exceptions. Having worked with with our grower for nearly two decades, we are confident we are bringing you an excellent product. If you click on a photo, it will open to a larger view, and allow side by side comparisons if you wish.
The “faq” section contains some common questions, but should you have more specific ones, including layout spacing, sun and shade issues, etc., please feel free to send questions to questions@spartanaires.org . This sale is managed by a registered Master Gardener. She will be happy to answer any questions you may have, and will be available on pick-up day as well.
Pick-up is today, Saturday, May 19th, at the First Assembly of God, 800 24th St. S., in the gymnasium which is located at the rear of the church. A map is available here. The Spartanaires wish to express their gratitude to the people of First Assembly of God for their willingness to make their facilities available after so many other pick-up sites were made unavailable. Their spontaneous support of our efforts is greatly appreciated. Thank you to Atlas Sales and Attic Storage for their willingness. also. Thank-you!
Tip!! If you wish to have a planter which looks full immediately, a basket makes a fine transplant to an oak barrel; simply remove the hanging portion, gently squeeze the bottom and transplant. It is helpful to place a layer of sphagnum moss beneath the roots and soak it, so you will spend much less time watering this summer. Transplant and water well, lightly packing the dirt around the flowers.
